San Antonio-based Fountainhead Investment Partners has expanded its office footprint in the city to also house portfolio companies Nvision Biomedical Technologies and Watershed Idea Foundry.
Until this point, Fountainhead and Watershed have been utilizing virtual office space, and Nvision occupied a 3,622-square-foot space. The new location on 4754 Shavano Oak features 7,095 square feet — enough space for all three to share and grow.
“Nvision’s growth has been remarkable, and even with offices in Dallas and San Antonio, there still wasn’t enough space,” said Brian Kieser, Fountainhead Managing Partner. “That, combined with Fountainhead and Watershed’s growing needs for space in San Antonio, it just made sense to look for something together.”
Fountainhead is still focused on site selection for Watershed’s main campus. The incubator/accelerator opened a Center of Excellence in Carlsbad, California in March with more than 4,000 square feet for additive manufacturing and design resources for the organization. However, Watershed’s main campus is planned for 10 times that size to include high volume additive manufacturing, as well as full regulatory and compliance implementations for the organization and other Fountainhead portfolio companies.
“Once we make our site selection for Watershed, we will need some time for buildout. While this space provides a temporary home for Watershed, we believe Nvision will grow to utilize the capacity in its entirety,” said Kieser.
